After working a triple shift in the EOC for the storm I got a little sleep and then went for a hike on the hill behind my house. The white dot trail has a large Hemlock blown down on the 2nd swithchback after the cave, which may be a good thing because the base of the tree is over the trail and totally negotiable without leaving the trail, but the top which is a tangled mess extends over the switch back short cut that has been getting too much traffic lately, and now the short cut is no longer the quicker route. Near the top (where the trees change from hemlocks to oak and beeches)there is another blow down which cannot be negotiated without bush wacking around it and will need some maintenance. The Red Dot had only one blow down near the junction with the old road, I cleaned up a bunch of small branches but other than that it has no other damage.
