Hiked the Midstate Trail and the abandoned roads from Spencer Rd. down to the South end of Browning Pond. The trail was in nice shape with no significant blowdowns. Mostly very dry trail too...only getting some mud down closer to the pond.
The bugs (black flies and mosquitos) were fierce. I usually don't get "bugged", but this was quite a swarm. As my arms swung I could feel myself batting at mosquitos with every step.
