Trail Conditions were great. No blowdowns, very little mud, slight essence of monorail between peaks. No bugs... Yet!!
Equipment used: Wore my VFFs and was fine. Didn't really need anything above and beyond typical day hike stuff. No traction necessary.
Comments: It was an absolutely perfect morning to hit both peaks. I hit the trail just after 8 AM and I was the third car in the lot. I passed a couple of people on the way up but it was definitely not crowded. Coming down was a different story. Tons of hikers and trail tourists clogging everything up. I wish I hit the trail a couple of hours earlier. I may have completely avoided the crowds. Still great to be out and get the legs moving again.
