Osseo - lower half

Trailwork day on lower half. No blowdowns. There is water available for dogs about halfway to the start of switchbacks where waterbars are flowing nicely, 4 of them in a row. 8.5 hours of touching up blazes, brushing, and waterbar clearing, including installation of new one. No special equipment needed. Bugs not too bad but do swarm in lower section where trail hugs brook before ascending railroad incline. Total of 4 hikers and 1 trail runner seen. What a beautiful day......
