Pay showers in Saranac/Long Lake area

I’m planning on doing a week long trip from Long Lake to Coreys Rd and then driving to the Indian Lake area for some more hiking and paddling this summer. I was hoping to stop at a restaurant or dinner in Long Lake along the way, but don’t want to offend people with the stench of hikers funk. Does any one know of a place I could stop that has pay showers I could use that is between Saranac Lake and Long Lake? I was thinking about Lake Eaton State Campground, but I’m not sure if they will allow me to stop just to use their showers.

Most NYS campgrounds do not open until sometime May so you should check this campground. I imagine they would charge you a day fee. There are several places in the Lake Placid region that have showers but this is out of your way. I would check for hostels in the area. They will often let you pay a small fee for use of the showers.
