Beautiful day, great views. Timed this hike perfectly, arrived on the summit when the final two people up there were leaving. Left just as about 10 more people were arriving. Spent about 20 minutes on the summit by ourselves.
We passed several people who complained bitterly about the trail and the running water. I thought the trail was outstanding -- rocks are placed perfectly for rock hopping the entire ascent from the Van Hoevenburg trail junction to the summit.
Another great day in the mountains.
No snow/ice. No special equipment needed(unless a good attitude is special).
