Crawford Path from lot off 302 to Cog lot down parts of the Ammonoosuc Ravine Tr.
Most of the trails required snowshoes excluding the north side of Eisenhower & down the "Gully" to the right of the Ammo Tr. as you descend. Best with crampons down the gully. Some areas along the way were bare, but didn't want to keep changing.
The way up to Pierce is kind of follow what beaten path you want. Two girls retreated from Pierce because they left the snowshoes at home and were getting swallowed up pretty good in the spruce traps. Or is it really bad?? They were real close too. Along the way is off & on the official trails, depending on snow coverage. Real nice cornices developed on the east side, in and around Franklin, that we couldn't resist getting a closer look.
Down the Ammo Tr. is all over the place in the upper sections, going on & off the trail, but real interesting. Especially the area just after Gem Pool.

Soft snow most of the day, but started to re-freeze on the north side of Monroe & the Hut.

Nice day with Pucknuts to wrap up the winter season. Passed a few pairs of hikers. Barbara & Charlie who we met again at the Cog lot (as they did it the other direction) & another Gentleman (solo) celebrating his 70th birthday with a not so short hike!! Congrats to another Jerry Horne! (watch out Jerry, I think he's gonna challenge your record!)
