roof racks

Anybody have a recommendation for a roof rack that won't cause a leak? I have a 1994 Ford Taurus, & Barrecrafters racks with the hooks for that model. They press on the weatherstripping & water pours in, in the rain or car wash. I don't know why they ever designed cars without rain gutters.

I have a Thule rack on my car, an Audi,and have had absolutely no problems with water leakage. It does however make a bit of a howling noise when you are driving at high speeds on the highway. On the downside, Thule racks tend to be expensive.
