Date of Hike: 10/09/10
Trails: Lambert Ridge (AT) and Ranger Trails
Trail Conditions:
Lambert: a section of the AT - very well maintained - no blowdowns - some mud but easily stepped around. Awesome views and a very scenic and easy trail.
Ranger Trail: Poor footing and wet. Recommended by author of Best Hikes with Dogs NH and VT - what was she thinking???? Not maintained; just not a good experience. Wish we had just gone back via Lambert Ridge or done a traverse to Cube.
Comments: Beautiful day. Cool and sunny and a great alternative to the more
crowded trails. Incredible views from the fire tower. Met only 6 people the entire hike.
