I joined Hiker Ed and his group on Saturday for an enjoyable, but wet hike up the Mt Kinsman Trail to visit North and South Kinsman. Several of us missed the very small sign marking the entrance to the new Mt Kinsman Trail parking lot. After I drove past it I stopped at the old trailhead where there are directions posted. The new trailhead is 0.2 miles south of the old one. The trail was wet and muddy in places and there were no views to be had. On the way back down it finally looked like it might clear up a bit so we stopped at Bald Knob and had some great views of the fall colors. We also took a short detour off trail to visit the very deep flume.

Here are some shots from the trip...

Lovely photos--We really enjoy the Kinsman Trail and the great views from little Bald Knob are a real bonus. Glad it cleared up for you.
