Date of Hike: 2/17/2008
Trail Conditions: Somewhat muddy and a bit icy in some spots. A few portions of the trail had large puddles. Spectacular water fall and the river was rushing at a rapid rate.
Special Equipment Required: A good pair of hiking boots. In addition to mud there were also some rocky areas. Hiking poles helpful as well.
Comments: An execllent hike to take a few days after heavy rains and a chance to dry out a little bit. Having the river to hike next to for most of the hike makes it enjoyable. Stepstone Falls are easily the best wateralls in the state of R.I.
