Trail Conditions: Zealand is dry. Twinway, Bondcliff and W. Bond spur, moist with alternating stretches of bare ground and snow above 4000'. The only brook crossing of consequence on this trip, after the hut, was fine. Snow is mostly firm, a couple of icy patches require some care heading up to Guyot.

Only a few blowdowns, one on the Twinway requires stepping over in postholey snow (ouch), another on the spur requires a deep duck.

Special Equipment Required: None. You'll either ruin your spikes/shoes or spend most of your day taking them off and on. The less confident/crazy may want to don spikes for a couple of spots of ice.

Noticed some good melting was happening in the afternoon.
