Great book! We are working on our 52 and your book is our bible to hiking the peaks.

I like seeing my accomplishments on paper and the check marks next to the peaks I’ve done .

I was just at Dicks sporting goods and they had quite a few pairs for sale.

It’s Grand Central Station on Haystack in the summer and fall months. The scree wall is probably not so visible in the winter, but I know the AMC Alpine steward program tries very hard to keep that scree wall maintained.

Just finished a virtual Zoom with Gibson Books and the author Ty Gagne and his new book The Last Traverse. I am looking forward to reading the Last Traverse, just finishing, "Where You'll Find Me" .

Culverts We hiked both on Friday, beautiful day with wonderful views. We also questioned the culverts. Thanks for the history lesson.

Great trip report!!

I don't get it? What makes you different from all the other hikers on the summit? Maybe they were not enjoying your company either.

Thanks to all who responded...we ended up hiking Sunset ridge trail...trail was broken out...used hillsounds ...very windy on ridge phew!! Lots of fun.. Happy hiking:)

Planning on hiking Mansfield tomorrow, Long trail from 108 or sunset ridge trail?? First hike of the winter season.....thank you in advance:)

My 2 cents. If 500 hikers pass by the summit of Mt. Layfayette, on any given weekend, what would are summit look like. Leaving a flag with a paper memorial is considered litter, and should be removed.
