Congrats again you two and as Swanson said, welcome to the club! I wonder if any others will (or have) finish/ed this year. The six of us New Yorkers (well I am still at heart) is a lot, probably the most people to finish the W111 in the same year. We should all party..... :) Going to the 46er...

Road is all good; snow was mushy on Sunday 2/19 being in the sun all day coupled with the snowmobile traffic. He was fun to watch ride indeed. Were you in the group of five that was regrouping at the summer trailhead?

Being one of the two aforementioned hikers (the other was JoeCedar), I can attest to the validity of your report! ;) Much warmer on Waumbek in the afternoon, and nowhere near as much wind. Some nice mountains up there in the north country; thanks for sharing your view of things!
