What are your thoughts for bear spray in the Northeast? I've never thought it was necessary and do not hike w it. If you take the normal precautions, bears are not a problem, humans pose more dangers. Thanks > Doug

From Crawford over AZ Tr. multiple small blow downs after the jct of Tom & Avalon, easy stepping over-trees grown in-so it was wet & slow going-boggy & swampy, careful on the log bridges-no wildlife seen. Any info about Mt Cabot? shelters, platforms, water.? We're finishing up our 4000 list. What trails are the best, etc. Thanks for advice Doug

First time up the Kinsmans-stayed at the shelter-very beautiful-should have a drilled well, drinking Kinsman Pond where people swim, not cool. Basin Cascade rough & wet. Canon Balls always a treat, up & down, very hot. Cooling off in the river-nice!
