    Post Hike Traditions

After a hike my buddies and I usually pass a bong around in the car then stop at a gas station and buy lots of munchies. Good times...good times.

    Snappers and Swimming Holes

I'm not sure if this is the same place as whitelief is talking about, but if your heading south on 73 after you pass Chapel Pond (but before 9) on the left side of the road you'll see a stream. Park on the side of the road and go down the bank. The pool is about 15-20 foot deep.

It sucks I'm leaving sunday morning though, from what I remember and looking at your pics, there is some awesome single pitch cracks on the walls of the Trap Dyke that have probably...

    Panther Gorge

There's no trail, but my buddy hiked up the streambed last year. Eventually you'll get to a point where the terrain becomes too steep to hike and you would need a rope and some pro to continue up the slabs.

Hello everyone, I'm planning on heading to the dacks late on friday, probably arriving around midnight. We plan on climbing the Trap Dyke saturday morning so I'd like to get as close as possible to the base of it. I've never been to Marcy Dam, but my ADK map shows a road leading to it that has...
