I don't remember just when it closed but guessing early 90's. I used to ski there a lot in the eighties as it was close to home. Somewhat small but the trails were always nicely groomed and a half day pass would set you back something like 2 bucks. I wish it was still open.

I love Osprey packs except for the fact in recent years they've stopped making day packs in a large size and now offer just a medium/large size. With a 27" torso they no longer make one that fits me.:mad:

I read in a recent trip report on NETC that the "fire tower is closed per order of USFS". Was wondering if any one on here has any more information about this. Sure hope it's a temporary thing and not permanent. Thanks, Dave

Hi Audrey, They appear to have updated the micro spikes this year. The spikes are a little bigger and the rubber less stretchy and less pliable. I like the spike part not so much on the rubber change. Dave

I did that route on Tuesday. Indeed the Ammo trail "is still pretty snowy and tough to manuever in spots" but I didn't have any problems as long as I stayed dead center in the trail.
