Fairly early start this morning. At trailhead off 73 at 8:30am, hit the trail by 8:45. No cars in any of the lots as i headed to the trail. Had the trail to myself which was a treat. Trail is in great shape, few muddy spots. Lonely summit(!!!), calm winds(really), and great views with the clear skies and low haze. Col between Cascade and Porter was yucky though. Lots of mud and slick, as usual.
Saw my first person on my way down well after 10:30 am, then a steady stream of very nice folks, lots of kids! Early on weekdays is the way to go.
Tons of fun. An UBU and a New Ecto topped off my day.
