Gordon Pond trail

I was thinking about doing Gordon pond to Kinsman, then 112 back to the car tomorrow morn. The AMC guide(27th ed) says that the trail is in rough shape and may be abandond soon. Has anyone done this trail recently.............

I'd avoid going into the lowland areas around Gordon Pond and the Reel Brook Trail tomorrow morning on the opening day of rifle deer season in NH. Wear lots of orange if you do.
