Trail Conditions: Generally very good. Dry down low, but plenty of running water where the trail follows the stream bed. Watch for the boot-sucking mud holes. A few blow downs still litter the trail, but nothing too bad. The 5 river crossings are very easy with current low water. Isolation and Davis Paths have no trail markings that we could find, but are pretty easy to follow. (I wouldn't want to try to follow these trails in the snow!)

Special Equipment Required: Bug dope. The black flies were swarming every time we stopped, but not bad while we were moving. They were worst on the summit unless the breeze picked up.

Comments: The summit sign for the Isolation spur path is still missing. If you are on the Davis Path heading south towards Isolation, watch for a sign facing left (east). It shows Mt. Davis to the left and Isolation Path to the right, but no mention of Mt. Isolation. (Not sure why this sign is even here. Maybe for bush whackers heading up from the valley?) A few yards south of this sign is another sign with the same information. This is a white sign facing to the right (west). Directly across from this sign is the steep, rocky path to the summit. We almost missed it and thought we had gone past the spur path.
