Trail Conditions: We went up Old Bridle Trail - trail in good shape, no snow to speak of until after the Greenleaf Hut. Did not use traction. No snow/ice above tree line. Wet ice and soft snow on Falling Waters - traction and poles were very helpful. Lots of melting - muddy spots. Five water crossings - all doable without getting too wet or a lot of wandering up and down the bank trying to find a good place to cross. Water was moving at a good pace, but not covering all the rocks. No bugs.
Special Equipment: Poles and traction
Comments: First hike since January 10, 2009 after Achilles injury. It felt GREAT to be back!!!!!
