Liberty/Flume from Basin parking lot up Liberty Springs and back. 2/4/11
water crossings: Larger one snowbridged, smaller ones hoppable.
Trail conditions: About 1 foot of fresh, fluffy snow at the start. 18+ inches above the tentsite, some drifts on the ridge, we worked for these peaks! Beautiful blue sky day. Saw a group of 5 (Hi to HikerEd,Doug,Guy and co.) on our way back to Liberty, so there is a well packed out trail now! The start of Liberty Springs trail is not broken out as everyone came up the old route (but there is a faint trough to follow)
parking: Parked at the Basin and used the old trail to access Liberty Springs
Necessary equip: snowshoes, all packed out, but still some soft spots.......esp. if you step off trail!!!
