Conditions: Not much different from Paul Shaw's Saturday report. The ridge over to Flume looked like a postholers nightmare from Saturday. Several blowdowns btw Liberty & Flume, one of which was an undignified crawl-under. Both trails well packed out.
Equipment: MSR's door to door.
Comments: Minimum visibility and a stiff breeze at the summits (I measured one surge at 40mph). Most of the time the winds were 25-35mph. 22 degrees on Flume. I started up the trail about 1 1/2 hours too early. By the time I was down the summits were in the clear. Quite a change from Saturday where we could have worn shorts on Whiteface. Met a beautiful 6 yr old girl who summited Liberty with her Mom in full conditions. What a little trooper! She wore micro Micro Spikes.
