Trail Conditions: Icy. Not much snow. No issues with water crossings. A couple of blow downs that were no big deal.

We wore microspikes all day. There were a couple of spots where crampons would have been useful, but it never lasted long enough to justify digging them out of the pack.

Trail is hard to follow, particularly above tree line. There is not enough snow to beat out a path, so you have to watch the footprints on the ice very carefully. A couple of inches of snow will make it very difficult to follow. There is so much ice at the top that you can't really tell the cairns from the rocks.

Nice day to be out. Comfortable temps and no wind. Not a bad hike to start the winter off with. Heading north to work on my list next weekend.
