Trail Conditions: Trail was dry enough and in great shape. Cleared of fallen limbs, water bars in good shape. Two blow downs that were not hard to get over or under. There was still some ice, slush, and a slender monorail.

Special Equipment Required: I used traction (stabilicers) for the last 20 minutes or so up to Osceola, then all the way to and from East Osceola and back down about 20 minutes. Most people were barebooting and slipping, but not bad. There was no risk of postholing. Snowshoes not needed.

Spring warblers are on their way. I heard ovenbird, black-throated blue, black-throated green, redstart, yellow-rumped, as well as golden-crowned kinglets, juncos, black-capped chickadee, and winter wren. Possibly magnolia warbler, and a flicker. There were a few others, but I am rusty on some of my calls.
