Trail Conditions: Trails were in pretty horrible shape for the most part. Lincoln Brook trail was somewhat icy in the morning but had resorted to slush and mud by afternoon. Black pond trail in the morning was still somewhat firm but not wide enough for snowshoes or you slid off. Varied from snow to mud to river. The bushwack through the woods yielded everything from soft knee deep snow with snowshoes to ankle deep mud if you had taken off the snowshoes. Lincoln brook trail (? drawing a blank on the on the name of the trail right now) that goes around Owls head was in rough shape with washouts in quite a few places. Snow bridges were not to be trusted. Never got across the river as I couldn't find a safe place to cross with the current height of the river.

Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes were a definite must stabilicers would have been nice in sections.
