Status of Mill Brook Rd. in Mahoosucs?

I'm considering hiking into the Mahoosucs via the Austin Brook Trail. The most recent WMG states that Mill Brook Rd. can sometimes be used to drive the first 2.1 miles from North Rd. and sometimes it's gated. Does anyone happen to know it's current status?

Still closed, but Bear Notch Road is now open, which will save some time for trips to Tucks from the southwest; woo hoo!.

Swampy I've gone up from there twice,once using the rd and once from the trail at Millbrook trust.From the trust the trail is real easy to the rd.Watch where the rd splits an arrow sign shows where the trail is.There was logging goin on so a truck blocked half the rd anyway.If the rd is open when you go it was a good rd and stops where a stream crosses the rd,Trail is past that a bit on the left and brings you to the intersect where you can hit Gentian pd or dream lake for the Bald cap bushwack

Whoops, sorry about that Swamp. Thanks, Roy. I was sleep-walking through that one. I have no idea on road status in the Mahoosucs.

Drove by on North Rd on Sunday and no gate, snowbank and beginning of road snow well gone (it had only a thin bit of snow 3 weeks ago- so drying well).

Ambled up to Giant Falls on Peabody Brook Tr. on Sunday and there was not a bit of snow or ice on this south slope.
