helllo all,

i am posting this for a friend coming up from the rotten apple (i say that as a term of endearment). Any suggestions would be great as i do not know that area very well.

Thank you very much.

Do you know any good hikes in the
Stockbridge - Great Barrington area of the Berkshires. I am heading up
there for the weekend, and I have a couple of mellow hikers who don't want
to go on any death march. Something easy with views would be great.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

taconic state park (10-15 miles south) has a lot of trails - bish bash state park is part of that park (covers 3 states)...

Getting in on this a little late BUT Monument Mt (Sq Peak) is a great short hike and about 10 minutes from Stockbridge and Just N of Gr Barrington. Lots of reward for little effort. See my thread. Also, Bish Bash and Mt Washington area in SW corner of Mass offer more hikes. Area bookstores have maps/guidebooks. Enjoy!! Great area ....
