Trail Conditions: Dry in most places, some water around the water crossings and in some other spots. Not too hard to keep shoes mostly dry although the young ladies who I met as they were coming down were not very happy about how wet their sneakers were.
Special Equipment Required: None
Comments: I've had Ascutney on my list for years and years but never found the time to get there, always fixated on the ADK's, the White's and others. A great spot for views of the Greens and Whites, Moosilauke, Abe & Ellen along with Monadnock and even Wachusett were visible. If you prefer your summits tower free, the West Peak is an open rocky area looking west. While on the summit, a telecomm worker was scaling the tower doing some maintenance. I prefer my towers with stairs.
