Maybe, this is the wrong place to post this (Trail Conditions) because there was no trail. This was the first time I've done a trip that was all bushwhack, using no trail.
In any case:
The conditions down low were mostly dry. Some snow started to blend in as we got in further. From then, on it was snowshoes almost all the way. still plenty of snow up there. And most of it was soft enough to break through, a lot. Very slow at times.
The terrain was pretty good til you got closer, then hit some fairly steep areas as you approached.
There was some nice open areas and some thicker woods on the approach. But where it was steep we ran into some extremely thick areas, with blowdowns at the base of the fur trees, making for some treacherous travel at times. Both of us got cut up pretty good too.

BTW the Bears are awake! One must have crossed our path, just before we got there, thankfully!

Bring plenty of old gear, especially gloves, cause it's going to take a beating.
And some old sunglasses, one dark, one light for in the thick stuff.

Another great adventure with Pucknuts!!
