AT from Norwich to Happy Hill
Sunday 11/29
Conditions: superb. Minimal mud given recent rains.
Special equipment: none
Other info: Wimpy hike for you uber-hikers on this forum, but we wanted a not too demanding walk nearby the King Arthur Flour store. (my other passion) No views and lots of hilly ups and downs, but we enjoyed the Happy Hill shelter as a break on the 3.6 mi one way/850 foot elevation gain trek on a lovely late fall day. Sometimes a good tramp in the woods does the spirit good. A late start at 1:30 pm meant a little headlamp time at the end, but there were enough white blazes to get us back home.
