Trail conditions: Excellent all the way up. Some running water on the part of Lion's head after crossing the lip of the ravine.
Equipment needed: bug spray for a portion of Lion's Head only. Sunscreen. Lots of water.
Comments: Today is the road race up Washington and true to form I hiked up to catch my son close to the top. It was an incredible day with views forever and very little haze in the early morning. The party atmosphere on top is worth the climb with music intertwined with race history and race reports. With a twofer on the cog and biker weekend there were crowds everywhere! Coming down, Lion's Head was a like a busy highway!
