What a drop-dead gorgeous day for a hike!
Trail is mostly in good shape - a few blow-downs that might get interesting to negotiate once it starts snowing. There was a little bit of ice forming on the rocks just below the summit area. Nothing to worry about yet, but it's a good reminder to start thinking about traction.
The dogs enjoyed it, too (anyone who thinks you need a bigger dog to hike should have seen the 15lb Poodle Mix in our group, Dexter, flying up the trail)
No special gear required.
