Date of Hike: 5/9/08
Trail Conditions: Falling Waters Trail was covered in snow for 2 out of its 3 miles. Very dangerous in some spots: loose rock, erosion. Met a search and resuce member on the trail who informed us of the death of a woman on the trail the night before due to a rockslide. Our plan was to go up ascend and descend via Falling Waters, but trail conditions persuaded us to hike the ridge and descend via Old Bridal Path. Old Bridal Path was infinitely easier. Very little snow.
Special Equipment Required: We just used boots. stablicers would have been fantastic.
Comments: I would not reccomend the Falling Waters trail until the snow melts. The ridge and old bridal path were excellent
