trail conditions, lincoln woods trail was pleasantly dry,and is easy as it gets .franconia brook just normal muddy spots and river crossings were easy enough but I finally broke down and got crocs.lincoln brook same mudddy areas as to be expected not bad. owls head path was hot and sunny on the slide bring extra water for this steap section.the slide is like an scree slope comprised of extra large rock spacing your group accent is helpful to avoid falling rocks.not an easy grade after slide either.I saw people not making it and turning around,sometimes thats the smartest thing to do.
special equiptment , poles and crocs are helpful for river crossings and a hydration pack
of some kind I used my winter insulated one to keep my water cold.serious bug spray w/deet ,I used 40% and was fully protected.
comments,lincoln brook is much faster,less buggy and no scratches on your arms legs,compared to bushwacking around river crossings .
