i have a pair of gold 10's. this my second winter with them. no complaints! i've probably used them for 50-75 miles. they have held up well. my only warning would be that the crampons are pretty aggressive -at least compared to my redfeathers. i love the ratcheting bindings

We haven't been there in years but you have to go around the bay to schoondic point. Almost no people, lots of tidal pools etc. My kids (and i) loved it. I don't think the campground i stayed at is still there. Have fun

I guess I am lucky because my wife supports my hiking 100%. We did Slide Mtn. and she thought it was worse than labor( we have 2 kids). Needless to say she walks the finger lakes trails w/ me but no mtns. Inspite of my grumbles, I support her hobbies too. I'm section hiking the Long trail, and...
