Hi, I have a bad back too. I find that putting some icy hot on before the hike helps it loosen a lot. Also a neoprene weight loss belt gives a lot of support and keeps the muscles warm and loose. Good Luck! :D

What an incredible stroke of luck! The Pink Peep is one of the most elusive of all the coniferous birds of the North East. Reminds me of the time I had the good fortune of seeing a chocolate rabbit go hippity hoppity down the trail several years ago. :D LMAO good post!

On the Contrary MadRiver thanks for posting, I enjoyed hiking with you and the rest of the group immensely! I've only been hiking in the Whites for a few years and really admire the confidence you and Allen have navigating around in the bush like you did. I learned a lot from you that day.
