Hike date: 6/24/12
Trail conditions: After the previous day's rains, Avalon, A-Z and Willey Range trails were good with only minor mud/puddled water. Trails were mostly dry by the afternoon. One tree down on Cascade Loop of Avalon Trail, easily walked around.
Special equipment: I would use a net or DEET on Tom summit if spending any length of time there. I didn't stay long, though, and used neither.
Comments: Views from the Avalon summit were best, and the cascades are worth seeing as well.
