Hi readers,
We arrived few minutes later of the shedule but before Cory at the Santanoni parking.
We just relaxed and finished cofe when Cory arrived.
We saw a group of 7 peoples from Rochester signed the 15 for 3 nights and Santanoni goal, and othe group of 3 signed the 16 for 2 nights with the same goal...Was-it a dream or reality!!!!
Perfect snowshoes tracks fast pace before the path junction, the peoples from the lentoo did not star when We arrived at the path junction.
First surprise the big group did not used the usual path and go down few time after the pond!! We take the decision to stay by path but We lose the path and stay in the left side for around 1,000 steps. I lose Cory He had some troubles with the spruces traps!!!
When We returned in the Panther Brook...Ye...... We can see the snowshoes tracks. Unfortunately my delirious was for a short time lest of 100 steps later dead end.... now the real fun is in from Us. Junior take the lead for 2,000 steps and passed the flame to Cory with the switch systeme every 200 steps.
Slowly We arrived at the Panther junction and in a ocean of snow walls We need to find Time Square. We find it...
We know the first part in the Couche side is a spruce traps place and Cory made this experience.....
We used a part of the old grove snowshoes tracks from the Dominique day attempt and all the time we used the compass to stay in a right direction.
When We can see the ennemy We know We need to go down to pass by the small swamp and go in the right to use the path. We lose the path but down by the elvator by left side of swamp.
When We restarted to go up, it was a slow progress every step in the deep snow use the energy, the temperature was warm now the snow falling on us and the wind change the cloths in a icy "scaphandre"...
Near the false Couche summit Cory disappear in a deep spruce strap, Junior resiste at the envy to use his head to by past this place...go boy!!!
Now it is the last step place, the snow is at the belt level but We know the goal is possible, sure & certain...finaly a long shout...COUCHEEEEEE. Junior kiss the wood plaquet and We go out of the windy place to drink before returned Time Square
After the swamp, We saty in the usual place to go up. Near Time Square the wind erased our tracks.
The time to drink and eat a half cliff bare We will go to Panther, few hesitation to stay in the path many white sentinels corpses with big eyes look the 2 valorous horsemen fight with the wind to touch the yellow Panther marker the key to open the unvisible door and escape to the Santanoni gardian...
Fast down, new surprise the new snowshoes tracks coming and turned at the junction path with Panther brook. We used this gift and We meet later 2 men they made it.
We star with the pace same if We are 2 gosts behind us catched the third rabbits, keep this rhythm in the roadv and finaly saw the last turn before the gate.
A long day, a difficult day, but We have a unmesurement determination and We made it...
