Our first venture into the wilderness as part of a group from GF/S Chapter! Have always hiked as a couple. A great hike with a leader who enabled us to work in the group dynamic. Trail was well packed and did the whole trip in miocrospikes. No views on the day, but a thrill to get there. Had to bail out on the Seward leg as we were out of energy. One serious water crossing and extensive blowdown were the only tough parts. In at dawn and out in the dark 12 hours later. Saw moose tracks in the snow!
Took: snowshoes, crampons and microspikes. Needed: just the micros, a spare headlamp and our summit parkas.
