Hiked from Kanc to height-of-land. Pine Brook was un passable at trail crossing. Went upstream (east) about 50 feet and crossed with much difficulty (got pretty wet below waist). I was unsure of being on trail for about 20 minutes as I saw no blazes. After that it was uneventful until approaching height-of-land when I had to detour around a fallen Christmas Tree (a group could probably drag it clear of trail). On descent I went downstream (west) about 75 feet and crossed with very little wetness. Note: look for a cove with about 5 fallen trees in it on south bank then pick out rocks you can step on to cross.
