Snow below Marble mountain was minimal, about 3-5" of real soft light powder. The lack of snow made the 2.2miles to Marble a bit slow and tricky with all the rocks and off camber sections. This section is bare bootable but we snowshoed it to try to start a nice trail. After Marble the snow was pretty deep with a nice base which made the climbing go much faster. The trail to Esther was impossible to miss, although it was unbroken there was a faint herd path that was easy to stay on. We broke to the summit of Esther with minimal views and some light cold winds.
The trip up Whiteface was pretty easy, i must be lucky b/c there was almost no wind on the way up or at the top which let me enjoy some limited views for about 15 minutes before heading down.
