Leon T led a group of 10 on this fine day. All the bridges on the Gale River Loop Road have been repaired, sparing us three river crossings. We left our 'shoes and 'pons in our cars and wore microspikes and stabilicers for most of the day.
The few stream crossings on the trail looked a little sketchy but proved to be substantial enough to hold us. Lots of bare ground on the trail for the first mile or so. Packed-out snow at elevation - light traction was all that was needed.
Sun and crystal clear views at the summit. Could make out the towers on Mount Washington peeking up over South Twin. Lovely day.
