7 dwarfs to Lincoln Woods:Firewarden,Lend a hand,Twinway,Bondcliff and Wilderness plus the hike in from 7 Dwarfs.
Firm to start early in the morning, getting slushy later in the day.The snow was transforming from crusty, frozen and very hard to more spring like conditions. It was neither for most of the hike. There seemed to be no ideal from of traction as each, including barebooting had drawbacks.Barebooting was annoying to slide around, snowshoes never felt quite right in the narrow track but provided the best overall traction for me.Figured microspikes wouldn't be very much help in the slushier spots.Crampons might have been ok but I did not want to walk that many miles in them.Aside from all that it was a spectacular day for this hike.Very warm and the views were incredible, didn't see a cloud all day!
