Conditons - All trails were well packed and easy to follow with the exception of a few inches of new snow at the upper end of the Isolation trail and the upper bushwhack to the Davis Path. The Davis Path was easy for us to follow but the trail winds in places due to drifting, kudos to the difficult trailblazing to those who did the work. The bushwhacks were so heavily traveled that they had become the regular trail! It would have been more difficult to find the original trails. Few blowdowns, all snowbridges still solid.

Equipment - used microspikes for entire hike.

Comments - great first day of spring. The Davis Path was the only section where we had to fight our way through the upper branches of trees, climb over well packed snow drifts, & detour around blocked off sections of trail. It was easy to understand how one could have given up trying to get through in deep snow in these sections.
