Trail Conditions:
No snow, no bugs. Trails were very wet and muddy, especially after Lake Arnold. First bugs I saw all day were on the return between Marcy dam and the Loj. They were swarming but not biting.
Special Equipment Needed:
Waterproof boots and gaiters are a must in my opinion. Trekking poles would have helped negotiate all of the rocks on the trail.
Comments:
Great views from the false summit, when I got to the true summit I was overtaken by cloud cover. Of course it was blue skies again when I arrived at the car.
