Date: 12/27/11 around 10:30am start..
Route: From the end of the open Rt 108 via the LT to the Chin.
3-5" with some nice drifts but we forego even carrying snowshoes and barebooted up to Taft Lodge and just below the Chin/Adam's Apple col. where we used 10pt crampons to scale the chimney to the summit and back. Switched back to microspikes just above the Lodge and used that for the long decent back to 108.
Crampons would be ideal for the chimney and most likely required gear. Microspikes were useful on the descent post chimney.
