We hiked the Mt Tecumseh trail from the ski area yesterday afternoon. A beautiful day, with tons of fresh snow. The trail was nicely tracked by some previous snowshoers who we didn't see - they must have been out early. The lower half of the straight, steep portion near the ski slopes was in fairly active use by snowboarders coming down, but they were going slow enough that we could manage to get out of the way.
We wore snowshoes, which we were very glad for, since there was upwards of a foot of snow everywhere. Bare-booting would probably be unpleasant.
