Date of Hike: 05/01/2011
Trail Conditions: At the beginning from the trailhead, there is no longer snow and bare boots is fine for hike. I don't completely remember which elevation point I decided to wear Snowshoes, but, we started to make a lot of postholing, so we decided to wear Snowshoes. This was about 1.5 hours or so after we started to hike. After reaching to trail junction to aim to Mt Wolf summit, trail is no longer very clear, blow down trees, blaze is diminishing. We had to search trails here and there multiple times.
Special Equipment Required: I still recommend hikers to bring Microspikes and Snowshoes at this point of the time.
Happy Trails,
Tomoko
