Summit is at 2240'. Views are great, an easy and definite do-again hike. Trail conditions were great, mostly dry, a few muddy spots but no need for gaiters. No streams to cross. Bugs are relentless! Needed 3 coatings of bug dope, yuk!

We parked in a gravel parking area not too far from the Rumford Water District sign. The trail begins on the logging road where the RWD sign is. The logging road walk is almost 2 miles but easy on the feet. After that there is a short rocky hike to the summit. Great panoramic views. Total mileage about 5 mi. RT. (Plus the extra mile we did accidentally - when we took a wrong left turn on a logging road - beware of wrong turns on muddy logging roads)!!

We scooted over and hiked Bear Mtn. in Turner (4 mi RT) on the way home but that is not worth writing about - not a re-do for us.
